ACCORD

About ACCORD
The Australian Centre for Co-operative Research and Development (ACCORD) is a joint venture of the University of Technology, Sydney and Charles Sturt University. It is funded by the NSW Office of Fair Trading, Department of Commerce and the two Universities. ACCORD was formally established on 1 July 1999.
ACCORD serves co-operatives, mutuals and the social economy. In Australia, in 1995/96, the turnover of the social economy was $A57 billion.
By building, applying and disseminating knowledge about membership based democratic organisations, ACCORD will increase Australia’s capacity to advance sustainable social and economic development through collective action.
